Welcome to Celina First Baptist Church! From our beginning in 1933 until now we have strived to be a light in our community. What should you expect when you enter our doors? Well, first of all, expect to see welcoming smiles. We are glad to see you! Our members want you to feel God’s love and our joy from the time you arrive until you leave and, hopefully, that feeling will last until you return. People will come to meet you, introduce themselves and offer information or answer questions if you need that.
The early Christians met in small groups in each other’s homes. There was a feeling of family as they supported each other and learned about this new way of thinking. Though in a church building and not in a small home, we want you to feel this same sense of family, too. Need special clothes to wear? Nope, you are at home! Jesus cares about how you look on the inside! If you are just starting to come to church and don't have a Bible yet, that is ok. There will be one in the pew just for you to use. If you would like to have one at home to study ask the pastor or one of the members. We have one in the library you can take and use. Have small children and afraid they will make too much noise? No worries. Our pastor can talk plenty loud and we strongly believe that our children are the future of our church and need to be present to learn and grow.
Almost every week, Pastor Eric says we are here to “worship God with a full and mighty heart!” That is what is important to us. Raising our voices in song and worshipping the God who made us and who loves each and every one of us-and you. If you are looking for a church home and family- a place to worship, study, and make small group connections, along with a place who is striving to “live our faith through service”, you have found it.
So join us! We are waiting for you, but much more importantly, Jesus is waiting, too!
